TIGHITCO, Inc is an industry leader in the design and fabrication of engineered components for transportation, power generation and industrial applications. A broad family of related technologies complements our proactive problem solving philosophy to assist our customers in finding solutions to unique problems.
We offer prototype capabilities as well as high volume products through the efficient and flexible design of our manufacturing facilities.
TIGHITCO, Inc supports customer needs with new product development and integrated product development teams. We take great pride in our engineering capabilities and technical support and provide a broad product line to meet customer needs. We are ISO 9001 approved for the design and manufacture of insulation blankets for the aerospace, defense, power generation, marine and industrial industries.
TIGHITCO, Inc consists
of three facilities, each with its own unique capabilities.
TIGHITCO - Atlanta is the insulation products
group main office and corporate headquarters for TIGHITCO. The Atlanta facility
offers our customers a variety of services including sales support, engineering
and design services and manufacturing capabilities. The primary products include
metal, sewn and molded insulation blankets and other products using similar
manufacturing techniques.
TIGHITCO - The Ellcott Division offers sheet
metal components and assemblies, light machining, bonded panels (Metal/Metal
and Metal/Honeycomb core), phosphoric acid anodizing and composite structures
and assemblies.
TIGHITCO - Latinoamerica focuses on sewn, heat
sealed and molded insulation products and provides low cost and labor-intensive
component, fabrication and assembly work.

Company History
In 1944 The H.I. Thompson Company founded the Insulation Products Group in
Gardena, California.The company's name was changed to HITCO in 1960 and a
new facility was opened in Atlanta, Georgia. During the next 30 years HITCO
underwent a series of ownership changes.
1970- Armco Steel
1985 - Owens Corning Fiberglass
1987 - British Petroleum Chemicals Division
In 1991 The Intertech Group, of South Carolina, purchased HITCO and we became TIG HITCO, Inc.
The Ellcott Division
Ellcott Manufacturing was founded in 1972, in Ellcott, Connecticut. TIGHITCO,
Inc acquired Ellcott Aerospace in 1997 and incorporated TIGHITCO - Ellcott
Division.
TIGHITCO Latinoamerica
In order to meet customer needs for low cost and labor-intensive solutions
TIGHITCO - Latinoamerica in San Luis Potosì, Mexico, was incorporated
in 2001.
